Privacy Policy for easyGIF

This Privacy Policy explains how bogle.me ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the easyGIF mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Summary

  • Your videos stay on your device. easyGIF converts videos to GIFs entirely on-device. The video files you select or share are processed locally and are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
  • No account required. We don't ask for your name, email, or password.
  • We use a few standard Google services for ads, analytics, crash reporting, and in-app purchases, which collect limited device and usage data as described below.

Information processed

Content you choose (processed on-device only)

When you pick or share a video, the App reads it to generate a GIF. This happens locally on your device. We do not receive, store, or transmit your videos or the GIFs you create. Saved GIFs go to your device's storage/gallery at your request.

Advertising — Google AdMob

The App displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device information and identifiers (including your advertising ID) to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we present a consent choice before serving personalized ads. Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and improve it. This includes standard Firebase identifiers (e.g., app instance ID) and device/usage information, plus a small number of custom events. Our custom events record only non-identifying information such as whether a conversion succeeded, how long it took, and the output settings chosen (format, frame rate, quality, speed). We do not include your videos, file names, or any personal content.

Crash diagnostics — Google Firebase Crashlytics

To fix bugs, we use Firebase Crashlytics, which collects diagnostic information when the App crashes — such as the crash stack trace, device model, operating system version, and App version. We do not intentionally collect personal content in crash reports.

Purchases — Google Play Billing

If you buy "Remove Ads," the purchase is processed by Google Play. We receive your purchase/entitlement status to unlock the feature; we do not receive or store your payment card or billing details.

Permissions

  • Photos/Media/Video access: to let you choose a video to convert.
  • Storage (save): to save the GIFs you create to your device.

We use these permissions only for the purposes above.

How information is shared

We don't sell your personal information. Information described above is processed by the Google services we use (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play) acting as our service providers or, for advertising, as independent parties under Google's terms. Your choices and rights

  • Advertising ID: you can reset or limit it in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
  • Consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland): you can change your ad-consent choices via the in-app consent options where available.
  • Region-specific rights: depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of certain ad-related "sharing." To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You can also use Google's controls for data collected by Google's services.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.

Data retention

We do not retain your videos or GIFs. Data collected by the Google services above is retained according to Google's policies and your account/device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
